DANGER
This torch is used with a flammable product. Failure
to comply with these Warnings and Instructions may
result in an explosion or fire that may cause property
damage, serious personal injury or death.
Read and comply with the instructions and warnings
in this manual and familiarize yourself with the torch
before lighting and using. Review instructions and
warnings periodically to maintain awareness. Do not
try to operate before reading instructions.
EXTREMLY FLAMMABLE. CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE.
• Take precautions not to heat fuel tank.
• Contains ammable gas under pressure. Do not
expose the torch or fuel to temperatures exceeding
120°F/49°C or prolonged sunlight.
• Never use torch in or around ammable fumes,
liquids, or explosive materials.
• Never pierce fuel tank or expose torch to re.
WARNING
∙ Keep torch out of reach of children and anyone who has not
read instructions. Do not point torch towards face, other
persons or ammable objects. Never attempt to use torch
as a cigarette lighter
∙ Always wear eye protection and gloves when lighting and
using the torch.
∙ To avoid risk of damage to torch, always protect torch from
impact and never allow torch to drop onto oor or hard
surfaces. Never use a torch that appears to be damaged.
∙ Heating a surface may cause heat to be conducted to
adjoining surfaces that may be combustible or become
pressurized when heated. Always check to make sure no
unintended parts or materials are being heated.
∙ Do not use a leaking, damaged or malfunctioning torch. If
torch is leaking, contact manufacturer or retailer.
∙ Work only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid the fumes from
uxes, lead-based paint, and all metal heating operations.
Be careful to avoid fumes from cadmium plating and
galvanized metal - remove these coatings in the area to be
heated by ling or sanding prior to heating.
∙ Ignite torch away from face, hands, clothing, or other
ammable material.
∙ Use caution when operating the torch outdoors on sunny
or windy days. Bright sun makes it impossible to see
the torch’s ame. Wind may carry the torch’s heat back
towards you or other areas not intended to be heated.
Windy conditions may also cause sparks to be blown into
other areas with combustible materials.
∙ Burner nozzle and tip assemble become extremely hot
during use and remain hot after extinguishing the torch.
Take precautions not to touch torch tip until torch has
cooled.
∙ Never use the torch on or near combustibles (fuels, rags,
towels, paper products, etc.). Be careful around motor
vehicles or any gasoline-red products and beware of
hidden fuel lines and tanks.
∙ Ensure that the torch is not pointed in a direction which
could cause nearby objects to ignite when the torch is set
down.
∙ Never leave the torch unattended when lit.
∙ Never attempt to repair or heat a gasoline tank, a chemical
drum an aerosol can, a compressed gas container that held
ammable liquid or gas or any other chemical. Heating
these is extremely dangerous, especially after they have
been “emptied”.
∙ Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials
Regulations forbids the carriage of butane or other
ammable gas products on passenger aircraft. Do not pack
this item or any other ammable gas item in any checked
or carry-on baggage.
∙ Make sure torch is completely extinguished after use.
∙ Ensure that torch is completely cool before storing.
CAUTION
Exercise caution when using this device not to breathe
vapors. Depending on the task being conducted with device
(wood burning, melting plastic, etc.) toxic or nauseating vapors
may exist.
REFILLING OPERATION
1. Use only Bernzomatic Butane fuel when relling torch.
2. Ensure that the torch is extinguished before relling.
3. Allow sufcient time for torch to cool to room temperature
before relling the torch with fuel.
4. Rell torch in a well-ventilated area free of re or other
sources of ignition and away from people.
5. Never smoke while relling the torch.
6. Hold the torch with the FILL
VALVE (A) up.
7. Invert fuel canister and
insert the fuel canister tip
into the FILL VALVE (A).
8. Push the fuel canister and
torch together to allow fuel
to ow into the torch fuel
tank. Torch should be lled
in about 10 seconds.
9. Stop relling once the fuel
begins to overow.
10. Wait 3 minutes to allow
fuel gas to stabilize before
igniting the torch.
LIGHTING AND OPERATION
Intermittent use mode
1. Turn FLAME ADJUSTMENT KNOB (B) approximately
halfway between (-) and (+) position.
2. Slide the SAFETY LOCK (C) down until SAFETY LOCK (C)
clicks and locks in the ignition position.
3. Press and hold down the IGNITION BUTTON (D).
4. Repeat step 2 and step 3 if torch does not ignite.
5. Release IGNITION BUTTON (D) to extinguish torch.
Continuous use mode
1. Turn FLAME ADJUSTMENT KNOB (B) approximately halfway
between (-) and (+) position.
2. Slide the SAFETY LOCK (C) down until SAFETY LOCK (C)
clicks and locks in the ignition position.
3. Press and hold down the IGNITION BUTTON (D).
4. Repeat step 2 and step 3 if torch does not ignite.
5. Press the CONTINUOUS FLAME LOCK (E) in to lock the
IGNITION BUTTON (D) in the on position.
6. Release IGNITION BUTTON (D).
7. To extinguish ame, press the IGNITION BUTTON (D) until
the CONTINUOUS FLAME LOCK (E) resets and releases.
Adjust flame
1. Slide FLAME ADJUSTMENT KNOB (B) towards “-” for smaller
ame.
2. Slide FLAME ADJUSTMENT KNOB (B) towards “+” for larger
ame.
Use as a gas torch (This is an open ame. Do not use with
combustibles in the area. Read warning sections of
instruction)
1. Torch is factory set for use as a gas torch and can be used
immediately.
2. Ignite torch as shown above.
Use as soldering iron
1. Ensure that the GAS TORCH TIP (F) is cool before installing
the SOLDERING TIP ASSEMBLY (G)
2. Loosen SOLDERING TIP LOCKING SCREW (H) by turning
SOLDERING TIP LOCKING SCREW (H) counterclockwise.
3. Install SOLDERING TIP ASSEMBLY (G) onto the GAS TORCH
TIP (F).
4. Lightly tighten the SOLDERING TIP LOCKING SCREW (H) by
turning the SOLDERING TIP LOCKING SCREW (H) clockwise.
5. Ignite torch as shown above.
6. Allow torch to burn for about 10 seconds until the heating
element begins to glow red.
7. Slide the AIR ADJUSTMENT KNOB (J) toward the SOLDERING
TIP ASSEMBLY (G). This should extinguish the ame and
leave only the heating element glowing red.
8. Torch is now ready for use as a soldering iron.
Use as a hot air blower
1. Assemble for use a soldering iron.
2. Remove the TIP (K) from the SOLDERING TIP ASSEMBLY (G)
by rotating the TIP (K) counterclockwise.
3. Torch is now ready for hot air blower operation.
4. Ignite torch as shown above.
COMPONENTS
• Do not breathe gas, fumes, vapor or spray. If
inhaled, remove affected person to fresh air.
• Avoid contact with eyes or skin. In case of contact
with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water
and seek medical advice. For skin contact, ush with
large amounts of water.
• Do not modify torch in any way. Do not alter
factory settings. Serious injury or death can result
from adjusting factory settings or modifying factory
tted parts. Always use manufacturer recommended
replacement parts.
• Read and understand refueling instruction before
refueling torch. Refueling the torch incorrectly can
result in serious injury or death.
ADDITIONAL WARNINGS
1. Before using as soldering iron or hot air blower ensure that
SOLDERING TIP LOCKING SCREW (H) is securely tightened.
2. Before each use and after relling, listen for leaking. Never
use a ame to check for leaks. Always use torch in a well-
ventilated and spark-free area and where there are no open
ames.
3. In cold weather size of ame will be smaller. To produce
larger ame, pre-warm torch to room temperature prior to
use.
STORAGE
1. Ensure that CONTINUOUS FLAME LOCK (E) is in the “OFF”
position.
2. Release IGNITION BUTTON (D).
3. Allow several minutes for torch to cool.
4. When torch is cool, store torch out of reach of children.
5. Do not expose torch to temperatures in excess of
120°F/49°C.
6. Store torch in well ventilated areas.

ADVERTENCIAS

extremadamente calientes durante el uso y permanecen calientes

del soplete hasta que el soplete se haya enfriado.
∙
Nunca use el soplete sobre o cerca de combustibles (sustancias
inamables, trapos, toallas, productos de papel, etc.).
Tenga especial
cuidado cerca de vehículos motorizados o de cualquier producto
alimentado con combustible, y preste atención a tuberías o tanques
de combustible que estén ocultos.

PRECAUCIÓN
Cuando use este dispositivo, tenga cuidado de no respirar

CÓMO VOLVER A LLENAR EL SOPLETE
1. Use solo el combustible butano Bernzomatic para volver a llenar
el soplete.
2. Asegúrese de que el soplete esté apagado antes de volver a llenarlo.
3. Deje que transcurra un plazo de tiempo suciente para que el
soplete se enfríe a temperatura ambiente antes de volver a llenar
de combustible el soplete.
4. Vuelva a llenar el soplete en un área bien ventilada, donde no haya
fuego u otras fuentes de encendido presentes y donde esté alejado
de personas.
5. Nunca fume mientras vuelve a
llenar de combustible el soplete.
6. Sostenga el soplete con la
VÁLVULA DE ALIMENTACIÓN (A)
hacia arriba.
7. Invierta el envase de combustible
e introduzca la punta del envase
de combustible dentro de la
VÁLVULA DE ALIMENTACIÓN (A).
8. Empuje el envase de combustible
y el soplete entre sí para permitir
que el combustible uya dentro
del tanque de combustible del
soplete. El soplete debe estar
lleno en aproximadamente
10 segundos.
9. Interrumpa esta operación
cuando el combustible comience
a desbordar.
10. Espere 3 minutos para permitir
que el gas combustible se
estabilice antes de encender
el soplete.
ENCENDIDO Y OPERACIÓN
Modo de uso intermitente
1. Gire la PERILLA DE AJUSTE DE LA LLAMA (B) aproximadamente hasta
la mitad, entre las posiciones (-) y (+).
2. Deslice la TRABA DE SEGURIDAD (C) hacia abajo hasta que la TRABA DE

7. Para apagar la llama, presione el BOTÓN DE ENCENDIDO (D) hasta
que la TRABA DE LLAMA CONTINUA (E) se restablezca y se libere.
Ajuste de la llama
1. Deslice la PERILLA DE AJUSTE DE LA LLAMA (B) a la posición “-” para
obtener una llama pequeña.
2. Deslice la PERILLA DE AJUSTE DE LA LLAMA (B) a la posición “+” para
obtener una llama más grande.
Uso como soplete a gas (Esta es una llama abierta. No lo use si hay
combustibles cerca. Lea las secciones de advertencia de las
instrucciones)
1. El soplete viene congurado de fábrica para usarlo como soplete a gas
y puede usarse inmediatamente.
2. Encienda el soplete como se mostró anteriormente.
Uso como soldador
1. Asegúrese de que la PUNTA DEL SOPLETE A GAS (F) esté fría antes de
instalar el CONJUNTO DE LA PUNTA DE SOLDADURA (G).
2. Aoje el TORNILLO DE BLOQUEO DE LA PUNTA DE SOLDADURA (H)
girando el TORNILLO DE BLOQUEO DE LA PUNTA DE SOLDADURA (H) en
sentido antihorario.
3. Instale el CONJUNTO DE LA PUNTA DE SOLDADURA (G) dentro de la
PUNTA DEL SOPLETE A GAS (F).
4. Apriete levemente el TORNILLO DE BLOQUEO DE LA PUNTA DE
SOLDADURA (H) girando el TORNILLO DE BLOQUEO DE LA PUNTA DE
SOLDADURA (H) en sentido horario.
5. Encienda el soplete como se mostró anteriormente.
6. Permita que el soplete permanezca encendido durante
aproximadamente 10 segundos hasta que el elemento de
calentamiento comience a estar al rojo vivo.
7. Deslice la PERILLA DE AJUSTE DEL AIRE (J) hacia el CONJUNTO DE LA
PUNTA DE SOLDADURA (G). Esto deberá apagar la llama y dejar solo el
elemento de calentamiento al rojo vivo.
8. Ahora el soplete está listo para usar como soplador.
Uso como soplador de aire caliente
1. Ármelo para usar como soldador.
2. Para retirar la PUNTA (K) del CONJUNTO DE LA PUNTA DE SOLDADURA
(G), gire la PUNTA (K) en sentido antihorario.
3. El soplete está listo para usar como soplador de aire caliente.
4. Encienda el soplete como se mostró anteriormente.
COMPONENTES
• Nunca use el soplete cerca o alrededor de vapores o líquidos
inamables o de materiales explosivos.
• Nunca perfore el tanque de combustible ni exponga
el soplete al fuego.
• No aspire gases, humos, vapores ni pulverizaciones. Si se
inhalan, lleve a la persona afectada a un lugar donde haya
aire fresco.
• Evite el contacto con los ojos o la piel. En caso de que se
produzca contacto con los ojos, enjuáguelos inmediatamente
con abundante agua y consulte a un médico. Si entra en
contacto con la piel, enjuáguela con abundante agua.
• No modique el soplete de ninguna manera. No modique
la conguración de fábrica. Si modica la conguración de
fábrica o las piezas instaladas en fábrica puede provocar
lesiones personales graves o la muerte. Siempre use las
piezas de repuesto recomendadas por el fabricante.
• Lea y comprenda las instrucciones para volver a llenar
de combustible el soplete antes de hacerlo. Si lo hace
incorrectamente puede provocar lesiones graves o la muerte.
ADVERTENCIAS ADICIONALES
1. Antes de usarlo como soldador o soplador de aire caliente, asegúrese
de que el TORNILLO DE BLOQUEO DE LA PUNTA DE SOLDADURA (H)
esté rmemente apretado.
2. Antes de cada uso y de volver a llenarlo, escuche para ver si oye el
ruido de un escape. Nunca use una llama para comprobar si hay fugas.
Siempre use el soplete en un área bien ventilada y sin chispas y donde
no haya llamas abiertas.
3. En climas fríos, el tamaño de la llama será más pequeño. Para producir
una llama más grande, lleve el soplete a temperatura ambiente antes
de usarlo.
ALMACENAMIENTO
1. Asegúrese de que la TRABA DE LLAMA CONTINUA (E) se encuentre
en la posición “OFF” (apagada).
2. Libere el BOTÓN DE ENCENDIDO (D).
3. Deje transcurrir varios minutos para permitir que el soplete se enfríe.
4. Cuando el soplete esté frío, guárdelo fuera del alcance de los niños.
