Read and comply with the instructions and warnings in this

manual and familiarize yourself with the torch before lighting and

using. Review instructions and warnings periodically to maintain

awareness. Do not try to operate before reading instructions.

FIRE & BURN HAZARD

For outdoor use only. Never use near fuel, solvents, ﬂammable

liquids, wood, paper, or other combustible materials. Always have

a bucket of water or an ABC-type ﬁre extinguisher within reach

when using torch. Failure to follow this warning can result in severe

personal injury or death.

• Take precautions not to heat fuel tank.

• Contains ﬂammable gas under pressure. Do not expose the torch

or fuel to temperatures exceeding 120°F/49°C or prolonged

sunlight.

• Never use torch in or around ﬂammable fumes, liquids, or

explosive materials.

• Never pierce fuel tank or expose torch to ﬁre.

• Do not breathe gas, fumes, vapor or spray. If inhaled, remove

• Do not modify torch in any way. Do not alter factory settings.

Serious injury or death can result from adjusting factory settings

or modifying factory ﬁtted parts. Always use manufacturer

recommended replacement parts.

WARNINGS

• Keep torch out of reach of children and anyone who has not read

instructions. Do not point torch towards face, other persons or

ﬂammable objects. Never attempt to use torch as a cigarette

lighter

• Always wear eye protection and gloves when lighting and using

the torch.

• To avoid risk of damage to torch, always protect torch from

impact and never allow torch to drop onto ﬂoor or hard surfaces.

Never use a torch that appears to be damaged. Do not attempt

repairs.

• Leak test connection to cylinder before use. Do not check for gas

leaks with a match or open ﬂame. Apply soapy water at cylinder

connection. If bubbles appear disconnect cylinder.

• Do not use a leaking, damaged or malfunctioning torch. If torch is

leaking, contact manufacturer or retailer.

• Do not attempt to light with match or cigarette lighter. Keep

hand away from tip.

• Ignite torch away from face, hands, clothing, or other ﬂammable

material.

• Do not use for space heating.

• Always use the torch with the cylinder in the upright position.

If tilted toward the horizontal position liquid fuel will reach the

burn tip, generating a large yellow ﬂame. Immediately return to

the upright position and turn the knob off.

• Before heating a surface, check to make sure that heat will not

be conducted to adjoining areas that may be combustible or

become pressurized when heated. During use, check adjoining

areas frequently for unintended heating.

• Work only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid the fumes from ﬂuxes,

lead-based paint, and all metal heating operations. Be careful to

avoid fumes from plated and galvanized metal

• Ensure that torch is completely cool before storing. Always

disconnect cylinder from torch for storage.

• Brick and concrete can crack and explode when subjected to

high temperatures.

• Do not leave unattended.

• Be careful on bright sunny days or under windy conditions. Bright

sunshine can make it difﬁcult to see the ﬂame, and wind can

carry the ﬂame or sparks to unintended areas.

• Make sure grip does not cover air holes before using.

ASSEMBLY

1. Use only with propane or MAP-Pro™ gas cylinders.

2. Turn valve control knob fully clockwise to OFF position.

3. Hold cylinder upright, and screw it into the valve until it is fully

seated and hand tight.

4. Leak test connection to cylinder before use. Do not check for gas

leaks with a match or open ﬂame. Apply soapy water at cylinder

connection. If bubbles appear disconnect cylinder.

5. Make sure the grip does not cover the air holes. If so, slide the grip

away to expose the air holes prior to use.

LIGHTING AND OPERATION

1. Turn valve control knob ¼ to ½ turn counterclockwise to open the

valve.

2. Depress the auto-start button to light. If the torch does not light

right away, depress the auto-start button again.

TO USE

1. Inspect torch before each use. Do not use if torch malfunctions or

is damaged.

2. Hold torch by the handle at the curved part of the tube.

3. Sweep burner tip back and forth over target area, keeping the

ﬂame about 2” above the ground.

4. SHUT OFF TORCH BEFORE SETTING DOWN.

TO SHUT OFF

1. Turn the valve control knob fully clockwise to OFF position.

2. Wait for ﬂame to extinguish.

3. Set torch down on non-combustible surface and let cool, tip will

remain hot for several minutes after torch is shut off.

STORAGE

1. Turn valve control knob clockwise to the OFF position. DO NOT

force.

2. When torch is cool, disconnect cylinder and store torch and

cylinder separately. Keep out of reach of children. Observe

warnings on cylinder label.

3. Do not expose cylinders to temperatures in excess of 120°F/49°C.

4. Store cylinders in well ventilated areas.

• No modiﬁque el soplete de ninguna manera. No modiﬁque la

conﬁguración de fábrica. Si modiﬁca la conﬁguración de fábrica o las

piezas instaladas en fábrica puede provocar lesiones graves o la muerte.

Siempre use las piezas de repuesto recomendadas por el fabricante.

ADVERTENCIAS

• Mantenga el soplete lejos del alcance de los niños o de cualquier persona

que no haya leído las instrucciones. No apunte el soplete hacia el rostro o

hacia otras personas u objetos inﬂamables. Nunca intente usar el soplete

como encendedor de cigarrillos.

• Siempre use protección ocular y guantes cuando encienda y use el

soplete.

• Para no dañar el soplete, protéjalo de los golpes y nunca permita que se

caiga al piso o sobre superﬁcies duras. Nunca use un soplete que parezca

estar dañado. No intente hacer reparaciones.

• Compruebe que no existan fugas en la conexión al cilindro antes de

usar. No trate de detectar escapes de gas con un fósforo o llama abierta.

Aplique agua jabonosa en la conexión del cilindro. Si aparecen burbujas,

desconecte el cilindro.

• No use un soplete que tenga fugas, esté dañado o no funcione bien.

Si el soplete tiene una fuga, póngase en contacto con el fabricante o el

vendedor minorista.

• No intente encenderlo con un encendedor de cigarrillos ni con fósforos.

Mantenga la mano alejada de la punta.

• Al encender el soplete, manténgalo alejado del rostro, las manos, la

vestimenta y otros materiales inﬂamables.

• No lo utilice para calentar un ambiente.

• Use el soplete siempre con el cilindro en posición vertical. Si lo

inclina hacia la posición horizontal, el líquido combustible llegará a

la punta encendida, generando una gran llama amarilla. Regréselo

inmediatamente a la posición vertical y apáguelo haciendo girar la

perilla.

• Antes de calentar una superﬁcie, asegúrese de que el calor no sea

transportado a áreas contiguas que puedan ser combustibles o

presurizarse con el calor. Durante el uso, inspeccione frecuentemente las

áreas contiguas para comprobar que no se hayan calentado.

• Trabaje solamente en áreas bien ventiladas. Evite los vapores de los

fundentes, la pintura a base de plomo y todas las operaciones de

calentamiento de metal. Tenga cuidado de evitar los vapores del metal

chapado y galvanizado .

• Asegúrese de que el soplete esté completamente frío antes de guardarlo.

Desconecte siempre el cilindro del soplete para guardarlo.

• El ladrillo y el hormigón pueden agrietarse y explotar si se exponen a

altas temperaturas.

• No lo deje desatendido.

• Tenga precaución en días de sol radiante o en condiciones ventosas. El

sol radiante puede hacer que sea difícil ver la llama, y el viento puede

transportar la llama o chispas a áreas no deseadas.

• Asegúrese de que el mango no cubra los oriﬁcios de ventilación antes de

usarlo.

ARMADO

1. Use únicamente con cilindros de gas propano o MAP-Pro™.

2. Gire la perilla de control de la válvula completamente en sentido horario

hasta la posición OFF (APAGADO).

3. Sostenga el cilindro en posición vertical, atorníllelo a la válvula hasta que

esté bien asentado y apriételo a mano.

4. Compruebe que no existan fugas en la conexión al cilindro antes de

usar. No trate de detectar escapes de gas con un fósforo o llama abierta.

Aplique agua jabonosa en la conexión del cilindro. Si aparecen burbujas,

desconecte el cilindro.

5. Asegúrese de que el mango no cubra los oriﬁcios de ventilación. Si los

cubre, deslícelo hacia afuera para exponer los oriﬁcios de ventilación

antes de usarlo.

ENCENDIDO Y OPERACIÓN

1. Gire la perilla de control de la válvula ¼ a ½ vuelta en sentido antihorario

para abrir la válvula.

2. Presione el botón de autoencendido para encenderlo. Si el soplete no se

enciende de inmediato, presiónelo nuevamente.

PARA UTILIZARLO

1. Inspeccione el soplete antes de cada uso. No lo utilice si falla o está dañado.

2. Sostenga el soplete por el mango en la parte curva del tubo.

3. Deslice la punta del quemador hacia adelante y hacia atrás sobre el

área deseada, manteniendo la llama a unas 2 pulg. (5 cm) por encima

del suelo.

4. APAGUE EL SOPLETE ANTES DE DEJARLO EN EL SUELO.

PARA APAGARLO

1. Gire la perilla de control de la válvula completamente en sentido horario

hasta la posición OFF (APAGADO).

2. Espere a que se extinga la llama.

3. Apoye el soplete en una superﬁcie no combustible y déjelo enfriar; la punta

seguirá caliente durante varios minutos después de que lo haya apagado.

ALMACENAMIENTO

1. Gire la perilla de control de la válvula en sentido horario hasta la posición

OFF (APAGADO). NO la fuerce.

2. Cuando el soplete esté frío, desconecte el cilindro y guarde el soplete

y el cilindro por separado. Mantener alejado del alcance de los niños.

Obedezca las advertencias que se encuentran en la etiqueta del cilindro.

3. No exponga los cilindros a temperaturas superiores a 120 °F (49 °C).

4. Almacene los cilindros en áreas bien ventiladas.
